To create a new repository:
- Access the “Personal Key Escrow” section of your Dashboard;
- Click on the + “Add New” symbol located in the top right;
- Insert the name you want to assign to the repository in the dedicated field;
- In the “Administrators” area type in the user or group of users who will have control of the repository; if not specified it will automatically be the superadmin;
- In the “Members” field type in the user or group of users you wish to add to the selected repository;
Note: It is advisable to create an only repository for all the users of the platform (All); however it is possible to create different repositories for different group of users. This possibility allows you to create different repositories for each company department, but in this case it is necessary to make sure to type in correctly the users groups you wish to add to the repository.
- If selected, the “Option” item will allow the users to choose whether to save the private key in the repository or not; if not selected the user will not be able to choose and all private keys will be saved in the repository;
- During the creation of the repository, it will be provided a Public Key to be used by boolebox to encrypt the users’ Personal Keys;
- The Private Key will be used by the administrator to recover the users’ Personal Keys.
Note: the Private Key will not be saved by boolebox to ensure maximum privacy, it is therefore advisable to save it in a safe place (in a file you will upload on boolebox in a secure vault in the secure password application) since you won’t be able to view it again after the repository creation.
Note: the repository will not work for Personal Keys assigned to files before the configuration of the repository.
- Click on “Save” to complete the operation.
